CHEQUE PRESENTATION TO TOG

A presentation recently took place at Taunton Opportunity Group’s premises where Bill Badham, Managing Director of Pollard, handed over a cheque for £3,400, from money raised by the company’s staff at their Christmas Dinner Party.

Each year Pollard select a local charity to support that may not have a large public profile but makes a massive contribution to their community. This year’s organisation Taunton Opportunity Group (TOG) – www.tauntonopportunitygroup.org.uk – is a pre-school specialising in supporting families with babies and young children who have a range of special needs and disabilities.

Commenting at the presentation, Bill Badham said

“It has been a delight to visit today and see the fantastic work that is being undertaken. It is clear that the team here are totally committed and dedicated to supporting the children and the contribution being made to the future development of these children will be hugely important.

As a regional contractor working and living in our local communities we are conscious of the challenges faced by organisations such as TOG to raise sufficient funds to enable them to provide such vital support. I am therefore very pleased that the money our staff have raised will help such a worthwhile charity.”

Allison Brayshay from TOG said in reply

“We very much appreciate being chosen and recognised by Pollard. It was a pleasure to have Bill Badham and Chris Selwood come to TOG to present the cheque and see the work we do. All members of staff are devoted to ensuring all the children at TOG reach their full potential while celebrating all their achievements in a safe and secure environment. We would like to thank all the staff at Pollard for the money we received, this will enable us to continue to provide a rich and stimulating environment for these very special children and their families.”
